Rev. Brenda Davids and spouse, Don Davids

Brenda was raised in Atchison County, Kansas on a large family farm and cow/calf operation. She is a lifelong United Methodist. Brenda’s family is small and live in northeast Kansas. Donald’s family lives in Iowa and Texas.

Brenda graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor's degree in Bakery Science and Management in 1988. She worked 20 years in the food/baking industry in the Midwest managing people and projects. She graduated from Saint Paul School of Theology with a Master’s of Divinity in 2011. She was ordained an Elder in the Great Plains Conference in 2014. Brenda has served churches in Ottawa, Topeka, Lyons and Kansas City, Kansas.

Don has a long career in law enforcement in Iowa, Texas and Kansas. Brenda and Don met at Forest Park (Topeka) Summer Assembly in 2003 and were married in 2005 at Jarbalo UMC in northern Leavenworth County, KS. They like to watch high school and college sports. Don’s hobby is smoking meat and making sausages. He also likes to fish.

Brenda has two sons. Bryan, 28, lives in Wichita, Ks. Brandon, 21, lives in Pittsburg, Ks. Don has two children, a daughter, Donna (age 23), and a son, Simeon (age 18). Donna lives in Texas and Simeon will graduate from Washington High School, Kansas City, Ks. in May 2017 and has enlisted in the Navy.

Brenda was formerly the youth ministry advisor and resource person for over 300 churches in the former Kansas East Conference and a director at Camp Chippewa in Ottawa, KS. Brenda and Don have led mission trips for youth and adults to many locations in U.S. and overseas. She loves to bake and enjoys playing with their two little dogs-Oso and Cooper.
