COMMITTEES

The United Methodist Church of Council Grove is organized for a variety of ministries in and beyond the community.   The Administrative Council meets on the first Sunday of each month at 7:00 pm to coordinate and oversee the work of the various committees and work of the church.   The Administrative Council provides for the connectional ministries and responsibilities of the church, i.e. financial responsibility, property concerns, missions, education.   The Administrative Council oversees scholarships that are awarded by the church to help further educational opportunities.

The Council Grove United Methodist Church participates with other United Methodist churches of Morris  County in a cooperative parish.  Those churches include:  Dunlap, White City, Dwight, Alta Vista Simpson, and Emmanuel.  The parish sponsors various activities and ministries throughout the year for worship experiences and mission projects.  There is an Easter celebration and an Advent worship experience.  Funds have been raised for Haiti mission projects.  Currently, the parish is raising money for the K-State Wesley Center (“quarters for Quarters”), our United Methodist campus ministry setting.
